Sabbath Keeping

“And the Lord passed by before him and proclaimed,
“the Lord! the Lord! a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness and truth.”
~ Exodus 34:6 ~

“Not what we have but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.” ~ Epicurus ~
“Talent is always conscious of its own abundance, and does not object to sharing.”
~ Alexander Solzehnitsyn ~

“We are buried beneath the weight of information,
which is being confused with knowledge;
quantity is being confused with abundance
and wealth with happiness.”
~ Tom Waits ~

“People with a scarcity mentality tend to see everything in terms of win-lose. There is only so much: and if someone else has it, that means there will be less for me. The more principle-centered we become, the more we develop an abundance mentality, the more we are genuinely happy for the successes, well-being, achievements, recognition, and good fortune of other people. We believe their success adds to…rather than detracts from…our lives.” ~ Stephen R. Covey ~
“You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might also pray in the fullness of your  joy and in your days of abundance.” ~ Khalil Gibran ~

“From abundance springs satiety.”
~ Livy ~

“The harvest of old age is the recollection and abundance of blessing previously secured.”
~ Cicero ~

“Abundance is the process of letting go;
that which is empty can receive.”
~ Bryant H. McGill ~

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good;
and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.
For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
~ Luke 6:45 ~
