My little town sent out an email inviting everyone, young and old, to come and take a hand at ringing the church bells at midnight. I read the message, and laughed and laughed. Maybe if they were doing it at sunset…

Happy New Year, Sandra! I hope 2015 will bring you everything you are hoping for, but I feel SURE it will bring you everything you need 🙂

Truth! We were in bed by 8:45 reading then sound asleep until midnight. Gun shots and fireworks. Freaked out dog til 2:30. I need a nap. Or strong coffee. Or both.

That is a wonderful scripture verse to start this new year off with.

It was a rather quiet New Year's eve, maybe it was because of drippy weather. I was glad though.

May 2015 be a great year for you dear Sandra ~ FlowerLady

Happy New Year, Sandra! I'm an early to bed person on New Year's Eve. I might watch some reruns of people on the other side of the world greeting the new year, but that will be it! 🙂 Love the scripture.

A beautiful landscape photo and a wise scripture. I do appreciate Mr. Vaughns views of Youth and Middle Age on New Year's Eve. Makes me wonder if he made it to his Golden Years and what he would say about ringing in the New Year. Happy New Year, Sandra!

When Bill and I were newlyweds we hosted many high school kids for a long evening and a breakfast when the new year came. We were very young, but it was hard to make it until midnight even then! We'll be in bed early, just like we are every night. We always sleep through our evenings! Funny!
I hope you take a drink of something nice, curl up in your flannel nightgown, keeping your toes warm in fuzzy boots and receive His great covering of love. He keeps you. He loves you. He uses you.

True. Good verse. I'll go to bed and sleep soundly until the guns and firecrackers wake me up. 😀
God be with you in the coming year, and may God continue to bless our great country.
