Sarah Fielke, the new creative director of SEWN, is having a fabulous giveaway on her blog, The Last Piece. Sarah is, among other things, a quilter and as you may…or may not -smile-…know, I call myself a quilter in that I make bed and baby quilts. I’d love to branch off into art quilts, and will one day, but for now am struggling to keep up with the babies and people to whom I’ve promised a quilt.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not an excellent quilter. At best, I am a good quilter but my quilts are made with a LOTTA love and prayers and I reckon that makes up for a few wonky stitches and seams. Please, tell me you agree -smile-.
In the spirit of the Grand Opening of SEWN, I am joining in with a giveaway of five fat quarters as shown above. I’m a little confused, as usual, but think all that’s necessary for someone to win is to leave a comment at this entry. At least, that’s my story and, for now, I’m sticking to it.
Blessings ~ blogland because SEWN is located in Australia ~ quilting ~ quilts ~ fat quarters ~ fun stuff ~

I've sent you each a PM but want you to know how much I appreciate each of you giving me the gift of your time by making a comment. In this hustle bustle world, there's just about no better gift!
BTW, according to random.org, Kathy B is the winner of the fat quarters. That's amazing because number 1 commenter is almost never chosen. God is smiling upon you today, Kathy, in this small way.
He's also smiling on everyone else, just in a different way -smile-.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
I am certainly enjoying yours.
What a beautiful Farm. I love it.
Our daughter went to school in Western NC. A twelve hour drive from our home. Travelling in your beautiful area was the only respet
we had along the way. Beautiful country to say the least. To live there must be wonderful.
Thanks again. Good luck with your wonderful giveaway too.

I love your yarn and sheep! I'm mostly a knittter/spinner who dabbles in garment sewing and looks in awe at quilts. But my fabric stash is at least as big as my yarn stash ๐

Good morning! What a refreshing blog! I've been browsing before entering. Your photos of your farm look so similar to ours..all the new greening and being in a valley. We have US 1 going right through our property and right outside our front door however so it isn't as peaceful and serene as your place. If we go up the hill a piece though, it's pure delight. Our farm isn't our livelihood like yours. We went through a fire (arson), and it changed the direction of our lives. So hubby went to work at a paper mill (only for a year to raise money to rebuild) and has ended up there now almost 30 years. We have some beef now instead of dairy cows, and plant for a roadside stand (corn, pumpkins and other stuff if it is in overabundance.) I've done a wee bit of spinning; did demonstrations at our local fair one year to help a friend out. I love fibers! Wanted a wheel in the worst way, but with 6 children time and money was in short supply, so never did venture further into it. I do have some pretty roving stored somewhere here…
Well, this is quite the long entry to your giveaway!!! But I felt so 'akin' to you, with our similar lives and if I'm correct our Christian bond. Going to check out some of the blogs you read…look like some good writers in there too. I've become a follower of your blog as well. Blessings to you,
Shelley in northern Maine.

Thanks for your lovely giveaway! I'm hearing you on the wonky seams…I am a terrible quilter. Much better at sewing softies and bags (although you may spot a few wonky seams there too – ssshhh, don't tell!).

Good health habits and a give-away! Throw in pictures and anecdotes about farm animals, rural life, Godly living…What more can a person ask for in a blog…
I know what you mean about struggling to keep up with commitments, but i found some advice about that in the post below! So much easier to get things done if they are done in and orderly fashion in an orderly work room!( an orderly mind helps too, but that's another story)
