Sabbath Keeping

“The LORD appeared to me in a faraway place and said,
“I love you with an everlasting love.
So I will continue to show you my kindness.”
~ Jeremiah 31:3 ~

“The heart has its reasons for which reason knows nothing.”
~ Pascal ~

“Every fear, every doubt is a crime against My love.”

“Faith goes up the stairs that love has built and looks out the window which hope has opened.” ~ C. H. Spurgeon ~

“Love is friendship that has gone viral.”
~ Sandra ~

“Don’t forget to love yourself.”
~ Soren Kierkegaard ~

“I have decided to stick with love.
Hate is too big a burden to bear.”
~ M. L. King, Jr. ~
“Love doesn’t make the world go ’round.
Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.”
~ Franklin P. Jones ~

“Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning, a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep burning and unquenchable.” ~ Bruce Lee ~

“You can always give without loving
but you can never love without giving.”
~ Amy Carmichael ~
“Nothing can bring a real sense of security
into the home except true love.”
~ Billy Graham ~

“Where love is,
God is.
~ Henry Drummond ~

“God teaches us to love by putting some unlovely people around us. It takes no character to love people who are lovely and loving to you.” ~ Rick Warren ~

“In the New Testament, love is more of a verb than a noun. It has more to do with acting than with feeling. The call to love is not so much a call to a certain state of feeling as it is to a quality of action.” ~ R. C. Sproul ~

“What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.” ~ St. Augustine of Hippo ~

“Do not waste time bothering
whether you “love” your
neighbor;
act as if you did.”
~ C. S. Lewis ~

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need, but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
~ 1 John 3:16-18 ~

Happy V Day to you, Karen.

Lynn, we are in total agreement!

Thank you Gretchen…lots of my favorites as well.

Tammy, you are kind, thank you!

Nancy, thank you…I am happy. For a very long while I wasn't but now, I am happy. A gift and a blessing.

Thank you Celeste…another good day…woke up above ground and it kept getting better!

Thanks, Rainey…it's all good, even when I'm exhausted.

Lynne, that's a beautiful Bible verse…it spoke to me as well.

Yvonne, how was lunch with your daughter?

Dewena, yes, cold water to WAKE us up! lol

Stephanie, thank you; btw, when I was 8 years old, I named my new born sister Stephanie. I love that name.

Leigh, we agree, love is a verb and showing love is action.

Yvonne…what do you mean "Gone Viral"?

How appropriate for Valentines Day! Really agree with R.C. Sproul. Love is an action, not a feeling. At least I think that's the best way to think of agape.

You always find great quotes, often like a dash of cold water in the face, but much needed.

    I loved this Sandra . . .,
    Loved, love . . . each quote . . .verse . . .
I have saved it into my notes and will use these quotes off and on in my posts,
giving credit to the authors and to you for your Sabbath Keeping.
    My favorite today . . .

The LORD appeared to me in a faraway place and said,
"I love you with an everlasting love.

There is no love greater than that which our Savior has for us. All else compares in comparison to what He has done for us.
