Miss Mustard Seed and Lucketts Store

~ Mary and Donald’s sign ~

Are you familiar with Marian, also known as Miss Mustard Seed? She’s a recent blog read for me, a thoroughly enjoyable read and full of good and useful information. Marian says we should “Move Mountains In Our Home” and also has a new book Inspired You
and it was through her blog I learned of Old Lucketts Store, “Vintage Hip” in northern Virginia.

Recently, Old Lucketts Store had a giveaway, the wonderful sign you see above. They asked folks to write about someone who was deserving of such a sign because they were doing wonderful things. I wrote about Mary and Donald, my friends who adopted three children, saving them from absolute abuse and God alone knows what else. Wonder of wonders, the folks at Old Luckett’s Store decided Mary and Donald should have the sign and shipped it to them; Mary took a photo, sent it to me and ta da!

Celebrate with me, wishing and praying Mary and Donald will raise those three children to be God fearing, tax paying citizens who’ll be in church every Sunday, worshiping God. It’s only because of God, Mary and Donald those children have any chance in life at all.

Thanks Marian and Luckett’s Store; you’ve made a positive difference in these lives. God bless you, yours and the work of your hands and heart!

Please, go visit Marian and Old Luckett’s Store; on Monday’s the Store has a giveway and it’s always grand.

I'm glad those folks won the sign. Some people are just so super wonderful, and they definately fit that bill. I pray that those children will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and let Him show them how to overcome the abusive background.
Thanks for the inspirational post! ~:)

Your friends sound like wonderful people and they are going to need lots of prayers to bring up these precious children who may have some baggage they will bring with them.
    May God bless them!

    Hello Sandra:
There are so many people we know who do the most marvellous, selfless things for the good of others in a quiet and unassuming way. So much so that they often go unnoticed. However, how lovely that the wonderful work of Mary and Donald has been recognised by you and by the gift of the sign. That is such a kind thought. We wish them all well.
