“…offer God your heart from time to time in the course of the day…” ~ Brother, Lawrence, 17th century monk, author of The Practice of the Presence of God ~

“Going to work for a large company is like getting on a train. Are you going sixty miles an hour or is the train going sixty miles an hour and you’re just sitting still?” ~ J. Paul Getty ~

“Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all.” ~ Sam Ewing ~
“Laziness may appear attractive, but work gives satisfaction.”

Hi Mildred – thank you for visiting.

Hi Nancy – thank you for your kind words.

Hi Sandy – wise words, indeed.

Hi LindaSue – how many of us find joy in our work, I wonder?

Hi KathyB – I go to McDonald's as well; they have wonderful ice tea.

Hi Deborah Ann – idle hands are the devil's workshop, eh?

Hi Lea – use those old clothes to make rag rugs and grand memories.

Hi Carol – I enjoy being busy, today is a rainy day so will spend it getting something accomplished.

Hi Nancy – that's one of my favorite Bible verses, thank you.

So many wonderful quotes, and I agree with them all. So often work is a pleasure and a privilege, but I think attitude has a lot to do with what we do , as in all things. I love it when I go to MacDonald's' ( shh, don't tell anyone I actually do buy food there once in awhile)and the person who serves me is happy, cheerful, polite…they don't realize they will go far in life with that attitude , and that they made me happy just by smiling and acting like my teensy bit of business was important to them.

    John 9:4 (New International Version)
4As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
We are created to do work -thank you for the wonderful reminders
