“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him …” ~ Psalm 37:7 ~

“Be patient with everyone, but above all with thyself. I mean, do not be disheartened by your imperfections, but always rise up with fresh courage.” ~ Francis de Sales ~

“Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.” ~ Samuel Johnson ~

“Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience.” ~ R W Emerson ~

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait. It’s how we behave while we’re waiting.” ~ Joyce Meyer ~

“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” ~ Leo Tolstoy ~

“Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come.” ~ Charles Stanley ~

“Sometimes we may ask God for success and He gives us physical and mental stamina. We might plead for prosperity, and we receive enlarged perspective and increased patience, or we petition for growth and are blessed with the gift of grace. He may bestow upon us conviction and confidence as we strive to achieve worthy goals.” ~ David A. Bednar ~

“The creative people I admire seem to share many characteristics: a fierce restlessness. Healthy cynicism. A real world perspective. An ability to simplify. Restraint. Patience. A genuine balance of confidence and insecurity. And most importantly, humanity.” ~ David Droga ~

“Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.” ~ Napoleon Hill ~

“Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet.” ~ Rousseau ~

“We could never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world.” ~ Helen Keller ~

“Be always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your love by being tolerant with one another.” ~ Ephesians 4:2 ~

When you see a comment on someone’s blog, take a few seconds and tuck that person in prayer. You don’t have to know them to say, “God, bless them as You know how.” And now, God bless you for visiting!

Oh Amelia, is it anyone’s strong suit? I think not. And if they say so, I’m not sure I’d trust them…wry smile.

My precious friend, I’m thinking of you. What have we become, we Americans, when the Governor of Virginia and the State of NY allow 3rd Trimester abortion, and more. I am just sick! Those of us who are alive must speak our minds about this. It’s murder. And, WHAT doctor would do this? WHERE ARE THE MINISTERS AND THE PRIESTS?

Marsha, it’s a travesty! Northam has exchanged the Hippocratic oath for the Hypocritical oath and God will judge. I heard one of Northam’s medical school chums castigate Northam, called him to task and to step down from the Governorship. It seems all Virginian’s can do is elect scoundrels and wastrels which confounds me. How can a person who claims the title “Christian” (Christ follower) vote for anyone, man or woman, who advocates killing babies? You ask where are the ministers and priests? I ask where are the Bible believing, Bible reading Christians? God will not be mocked.

I love a good quote! Here is my favorite:
“Let me live in my house by the side of the road,
Where the race of men go by-
They are good, they are bad, they are weak, they are strong,
Wise, foolish – so am I.
Then why should I sit in the scorner’s seat,
    Or hurl the cynic’s ban?
Let me live in my house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.”
    ~ Samuel Walter Foss
That’s not the whole poem, but I do love it. I really enjoyed this post Sandra and I look forward to getting to know you better.

Nikki, that was Aunt Esther’s favorite poem and is printed on my blog in an earlier post. I love it as well.

I’ll be revisiting this post often when I’m feeling discouraged in my journey. Thank you for posting all of these in one place.

I am very very patient–that is unless I’m not. Know what I mean? But I am grateful that except for nine months of my life I have always gotten up every morning with fresh courage.

Is patience one of those things we shouldn’t dare pray for?

Dewena, I don’t pray for patience! God seems to send along enough trials and tests for patience to be worked out in me. Being sick since Christmas has brought me to a new place, even a new low BUT today the sun is shining, temps are in the 40’s and I’m feeling hopeful.
