Sabbath Keeping ~ HE IS RISEN!

by Sandra Bennett
Sabbath Keeping· TCF

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet He did not open His mouth.”
~ Isaiah 53:6-7 ~

“The cross is the lightening rod of grace
that short circuits God’s wrath to Christ
so that only the light of His love
remains for believers.”
~ A. W. Tozer ~

“Our old history ends with the cross;
our new history begins with the resurrection.”
~ Watchman Nee ~

We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining – they just shine.”
~ D. L. Moody ~

“The great gift of Easter is hope.”
~ Basil C. Hume ~

“God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” ~ Augustine of Hippo ~

“God proves His love on the cross.
When Christ hung, and bled, and died,
it was God saying to the world,
‘I love you.'”
~ Billy Graham ~

“Jesus Christ did not come into this world to make bad people good;
He came into this world to make dead people live.”
~ Lee Strobel ~

“God has defeated Satan through the death and resurrection of of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through this overwhelming victory, God has also empowered you to overcome any temptation to sin and has provided sufficient resources for you to respond Biblically to any problem of life. By relying on God’s power and being obedient to His word, you can be an overcomer in any situation.” ~ John C. Broger ~

“Today we celebrate the gift of victory
 over every fall we have ever experienced.”
~ Jeffrey R. Holland ~

“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection not in books alone but with every leaf of springtime.”  ~ Martin Luther ~

“Death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.”
~ William Penn ~

“HE IS RISEN.”
~ Matthew 28:6 ~

    I was also going to suggest your knight might be Sir Galahad but Pat S beat me to it. What a relief it must be to know who hangeth upon your wall. I found you this morning from Splendarosa and knew from your heading that we have our faith in common. He is Risen Indeed!

    I also knew we had some other things in common when I read your response to Anonymous regarding the Jewish people. No people group is perfect by any means, especially including the non-Jew, but no one can claim to be God's Chosen People but the Jew. And that is good enough for me. I look forward to reading more about your interesting life on the farm. May God be praised!

      Nice to know I've a knight in the house! Welcome Elizabeth, glad you're here. The Bible clearly states none are perfect, save Christ, but in Him we all are being perfected. It's both unhealthful and sad when people fail to realize their hate will poison only them. That particular person is also a coward.
      Ah well. Thankfully, it's not my burden to bear.

    I found your knight by googling "images of young knight in shining armour" and there he was! I knew I had seen that picture before and you can find anything on google.

      You are clever! I did that and couldn't find my particular image but I did left click, on the image, and found it. Pat, thank you! I can't begin to remember how it came into my possession but I've had it for 40 years, thereabouts.

    I just checked out the image you posted yesterday of the young knight. He is Sir Galahad, knight of King Arthur's Round Table.
