“There’s one thing we need above everything else; it’s something we don’t talk about these days. We need a mighty avalanche of conviction of sin. … We’re living in an unprecedented day (when) evil is no longer evil. We’ve changed the terminology — iniquity is now infirmity; wickedness is now weakness; devilry is now deficiency.” ~ Leonard Ravenhill ~
“Men do not differ much about what things they call evils;
the differ enormously about what evils they will call excusable.”
~ G. K. Chesterton ~

Thank you for stopping by my blog. "Hate the sin not the sinner." I love that. I taught school for years and preached that to parents, "hate the deed, not the doer."
Your header picture is gorgeous.
Appreciate the quotes and thoughts here. It is indeed a perilous time where we need to turn and focus on our Heavenly Father.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. It's great to meet you! It's fun too, to learn more about you. 🙂 Have a great weekend!
Thanks, Sandra! The Leonard Ravenhill quote spoke to me. My daughter-in-law seems to try to use her mental illness as an excuse for sin in her life. My son faithfully tries to speak the truth in love to her. Only God knows what she really understands, so prayer with the help of the Spirit is the only way. Many good quotes here! I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your new nest! 🙂
I soooo appreciate the quotes you give us to meditate on. Thank you for your giving in this way.

Greetings and blessings to my sister in faith and farm from Dori from the Bavarian Forest. The theme of SIN is so deep. Thank you for these quotes!
Always preaching to myself first, Dori! Have you heard the old song…'Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay." True, isn't it?
Oh really true!
My favourite an an elder woman is:
"The temptation of the age is to look good without being good."
I think we shall "work" on the beauty of our souls, God looks on it and can make it.
Mean:
My favourite AS an elder woman is…
"And such were some of you." I thank God from the bottom of my heart that He did not leave me that way!
AMEN to that Dewena…amen to that!
Good Sunday afternoon to you. I was happy to read every quote you shared today. Rich truth. Blessings on your upcoming week.
Hi Ellen, thank you and God keep you safe and sound this coming week. Today's quotes…always preaching to myself, doncha know? -laughing-
Good morning, Sandra! Thinking of you and hoping and praying that you're getting settled.
Thanks Karen although not sure how settled I'm getting. I've been doing outside work and it's like living in an entirely new place but with rain anticipated, I'm hopeful to unpack more boxes and maybe get the kitchen put to rights.
Good Sunday Morning to you. Thank you for the quotes and Bible verses today. May the Lord richly bless you today and in the week ahead. xo
Hi Mildred – thank you and have a great, safe week. Blessings to you and John.
