Life Lessons From an Intentional Country Woman

~ photo by Vicki at 2 Bags Full ~

~ Every trail has a few mud holes, some of them deep.
~ If you loan money to ‘friends’, expect to lose both.
~ Keep skunks, bankers and the government at a distance.
~Locked gates help thieves make easier decisions.
~Do not corner something meaner than you.
~Forgive your enemies; it messes with their mind.
~When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
~Fences need to be horse high, pig tight and bull strong.
~Always drink upstream.
~Letting the cat out of the bag is easier than putting it in.
~Trust your neighbors but keep your gates locked.
~Life is simpler when you take time to pull out the stump.
~Successful people do one thing very well, not everything poorly.

and

~It’s easier to step in manure than get it off your boots.

Blessings ~ good work boots ~ laughter ~ country women ~

Clever sayings and sweet photo! I've often wished I had a passion for that one thing that would have made me successful, but alas, I've leaned towards being a "Jackie of all trades and master of none"! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Do come visit me again! Hope life is treating you well. Bess

Dear Sandra, hope all is well with you. Great tips to live by. I am sorry, been so busy this summer with Art shows. My computer has a problem, can't get the 4 th July post off sidebar, and new post on it? I'll think about it next week.
Take care and sending love and good wishes. yvonne

I love the photo ! So many truisms, well said and worth remembering. 2 involve gates. Fences and gates are very practical and do help maintain friendly relations with neighbors.

Wonderful post — and indeed, as MK said, most are sad but true!

I LOVE this photo, the woman with the blue skirt, her dogs going trusting with her, lonely but in communion with the sky, wonderful later summer-light – the house and the atmosphere…

Good experienced life-lessons. Point 4 is my point also ๐Ÿ™‚
