Life most
certainly IS a dress rehearsal so keep preparing for a heavenly eternity. Be
kind, choose words wisely, especially be careful what you say to yourself. Eat nutritious
food, drink lots of water, be moderate in your intake of excellent whisky and dark chocolate. Write letters, send cards and notes, tell family and friends you love
them…and mean it. Every day read your love letter (Bible), pray to God and
take a long walk with the dogs as company. Work hard, play harder, go barefoot, hug and kiss the dogs, cats,
horses and please remember…always be good to you. One day, this will be the
last day of earthly life…always be ready to GO. xoxo

Excellent advice! How strange to think we will have a final day. Will we know? More important — will we be ready?
I watched a cooking/foodie show last night that showed the business in Tasmania that (supposedly) makes the finest whiskey in the whole world — they won a prize for their finest. Pretty cool.

So glad I came by tonight. What a lovely woman greeted me! Happy I haven't seen in a time and love it! Yes to all the wise words and especially to dog walks. With Geoffrey still on bed rest from his surgery I am now the official walker of all the dogs. He usually walks our foster Pyrenees Triton and the two house dogs Ari and Callie. I walk the two working Pyrenees for such devoted guardians are Sherman and Yarrow they deserve a bit of time out of the goat area. A bit more work adding two more walks to the other two but such fun! And we are so fortunate to have 42 acres of paradise to walk upon. Bless you for brightening our day!

You positively glow! That has to be because you're so full of kindness and wisdom and saying nice things, nutritious food and dark chocolate, working hard and playing harder… When a body has so much good and love in it, it can't help but shine. No wonder your brightness is spilling out. 🙂 Thanks for sharing you solid advice. I appreciate you.

Look at you, glamour girl! What a nice portrait of a happy-inside-and-out woman 🙂
Well, one thing jumped right out at me…I've been failing mightily in the "long walks with dog" department, as there just isn't a drop of energy left in my body most of the time lately, and walking with Piper requires first driving ten minutes or so, then walking for as long as I can stand, then walking back to the car, then driving home – a bit of a commitment. I DID repair the perimeter fence so she can roam around in a big woodsy pen, but I know she would like to get back to more frequent runs by the pond. Sigh…well, since I'm in charge of Quality of Life for Piper, I guess I'll put "walks by the pond" higher on The List! Thanks for the nudge 🙂
