“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.” ~ Anais Nin ~
“Whoever said that loss gets easier with time was a liar. Here’s what really happens: The spaces between the times you miss them grow longer. Then, when you do remember to miss them again, it’s still with a stabbing pain to the heart. And you have guilt. Guilt because it’s been too long since you missed them last.”
~ Krtistin O’Donnell Tubb ~
“When his wife was at his side, she was also in front of him, marking out the horizon of his life. Now the horizon is empty: the view has changed.”
~ Milan Kundera ~
“Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there’s a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.”
~ Helen Keller ~

And I like others too 🙂 that you have posted, especially the Irish headstone, because it treats both sides of the situation. Thanks for these, Sandra!

I like Helen Keller's thought, because it echoes the scripture that says we *all* will see much better on the other side – our spiritual understanding won't be so fogged-up!

It has been so interesting to visit with you today. Have we met before? I don't recall…aging brain…anyway, I have a video to view next. You are in the midst of changes, big ones. I have bookmarked your site so that I may find you again. I get the sense that yours is quite the journey.

My mother made me aware of the Isaiah scripture many years ago. I think it was her way of preparing me for her death. She is still alive, but removed from me by dementia. I often remember our email conversations over the years, and her words of wisdom. I know she and my dear husband are safe in God's care. I also love the John Donne quote. Many good words here. 🙂

ah Sandra – death is life's constant companion – should make us savor the moments more – but shoulda coulda woulda doesn't change human nature does it? Very good choices today – I miss my loved ones gone before me – and I grieve for those still alive here in the Shadowlands but dead to the REAL life to come.
Bless you friend – a sister of my heart

So glad to have you back dear Sandra. We die to this life, but not life everlasting. Our loved ones are just on the other side of the veil, we just can't see them. We will join them one day, where there will be no more death, only life and joy unspeakable.
These two were my favorites today:
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
love leaves a memory no one can steal."

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
~ 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 ~
Have a wonderful Easter week ~ FlowerLady

So many very true words of wisdom regarding death. I especially love the quote by Anais Ninn . Blessings to you Sandra. It is good to know death does NOT reign where we'll spend eternity in the presence of our Lord.

Thank you so very much for stopping by my blog. I always love visits from my sisters in the Lord!
I have received a blessing from so many of the verses you have 'penned' from God's Word, and also from other authors. We are richly blessed with the fellowship in the Spirit where ever we live; no borders or boundaries but instant connections heart to heart. Praise the Lord for this 'invisible' connection which shows forth our love for Jesus to the world when we share His message of salvation to save others.
