Lynne, God uses all things to teach us, when we allow.

Charlotte, we all face loneliness at various times of our lives; it's a season. Tucking Katie into prayer.

Dewena, I've always loved solitude but, sometimes, I think I impose too much on myself.

Dori, we are all kindred souls, I think.

Leigh, I think you're right, even so, there are times I'm lonely even with Jesus. You?

MB, always preaching to the choir on Sunday -smile.

Gail, I hope Greg is doing much better.

Another wonderful collection of quotes and a great bible verse. Thank you for praying for my son Greg. He is now at home with his father in Texas and off the streets of L.A., slowly building his life back. I am very thankful.

Loneliness is a very relevant topic. I think everybody feels alone sometimes but doesn't always know the Friend who never forsakes nor deserts us.

    Beautuful, deep sentences, sandra!

I love the comment of Lynn VERY much and joinit, and I know, its your experience, too:

    "I have known lonely and alone . . . each. . . taught me.
I am older now, lonely softened and I found peacefulness and treasure in quiet and alone."

I have required chunks of solitude for so many years that I think I had forgotten that it is something I grew into, not something that I saw as a gift when I was young. All of your quotes are wonderful but oh, the sadness in Woody Allen's words compared to the certainty in the others.

I can feel your aloneness or loneliness. But know that the Lord is always with you in every situation.
Please put my daughter, Katie, on your prayer list, for mental, spiritual and physical healing.

    Enjoy your day!
