These are beautiful quotes and scripture which speak the truth of grief. One who has experienced can certainly find recognition and comfort from this word truth.
Gibran's words have given me comfort. The presence of God in my life gives me peace. Friends, family being in my life give me presence . . .
There are those who have asked, "How will I go on, live without him, what can help this loss . . .?" It is difficult to find words to say to another. I believe in "being with" and letting someone know, "I care" and staying true to those promises. Grief is what comes after death, loss.
I encourage being tender to yourself right now, rest, eat, go for walks, feel, let the tears fall if they want to, and write. And then continue to be tender to yourself . . . be with those you trust.
Memories are precious, they make us laugh, and cry, and we never have to give them up. The sudden death of my husband 31 years ago is something which will always be part of me as will the recent death of your husband.
Be tender with your self . . . I care about you

I am reminded that moving forward isn't always a steady line, but ups and downs along the way. I pray you take good care of yourself, not being too harsh in your thinking about what you 'ought' to be doing, feeling or thinking. 'He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.' ~Psalm 147:3

Hello Sandra:
In some part, each and every one of these quotations must speak to you as they have resonated with us. Remember that to move forward you need not take giant strides, tiny steps get you there just the same. Take the greatest care!
