Be Thankful

by Sandra Bennett

~ Carly and son, Samuel ~
Be thankful you don’t already have everything you desire,
if you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times;
during those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations;
they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge;
it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes;
they will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
it means you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those
who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

    Lovely post, Sandra!
    I have been so full of gratitude lately. Just keeping positive about life in general. And avoiding those who have a "cup-half-empty" attitude! 🙂
    You are one of my "cup-half-full" friends!! And I am blessed to have you in my life..

    I love this and I am so glad you shared it today. I should I think be the habit of my life.
    It also helps being married to the most optimistic person in the world. 🙂

    Have a lovely Sunday.

    So very true. We can soon become complacent if we don't have trials to face.
    A lovely view at Thanksgiving from the other side of the mirror.
    Blessings, Star

    That's a lovely poem and oh, so true. I have been sharing your beautiful photos on your blog with John this afternoon. We especially love your sweeping views and all your animals. Have a nice afternoon.
