“The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.”

Give me, good Lord, a longing to be with thee, not for the avoiding of the calamities of this wretched world; nor so much for the avoiding of the pains of purgatory, nor of the pains of hell neither, nor so much for the attaining of the joys of heaven in respect of mid own commodity, as even for a very love to thee.” ~ St. Thomas More ~

A good and poignant reminder of Whom we can trust, especially in these times when our "rulers" seem to epitomize the very opposite. But then, this has so often throughout history been the case. Now I know we will realize this truth more fully,"trust in the Lord with all thy heart, lean not on your own understanding".
As usual Sandra, very thought provoking and encouraging.
