“…those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it.” Job 4:8

“The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if your forsake him, he will forsake you.” II Chronicles 15:2

“The life above, when this is past,
Is the ripe fruit of life below.
Sow love, and taste its fruitage pure,
Sow peace, and reap its harvest bright
Sow sunbeams on the rock and moor,
And find a harvest-home of light.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith, where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”
Hello Kathy – frequently, I find myself thinking of you and yours, especially when I'm writing Sabbath Keeping posts. This, too, struck at my heart and mind. I've had one of those "why did I leave my family and friends and move to the hinterlands" weeks. My dearest friend, only one year old than I, has Alzheimers and no longer knows me. I feel berefit of friends…except for Jesus. Most of the time, He's enough but sometimes I want a friend with clothes on -smile-. "Let me console rather than seek to be consoled." Let me put on the armor of Christ, cast away self and refocus on Him…yet again.
Hello Jen – many thanks for both your kind words and your award. When my computer is up and running…and I'm able to post photos…I'll claim it and pass it onward. God's blessings on you, yours and the work of your hands and heart.
Hello Woebegon Cottage – moving, eh? You're in my prayers! -smile- What an absolutely TOUGH job…leaving so many memories, uprooting, putting down roots…very life changing.
All quotes posted here today have blessed me, but the last spoke to me the most….."grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console…" spoke the loudest. Really, it does behoove me to consider others first…and always first after Him,as Jesus would have it, thus allowing the proper perspective in all things. "it is in dying we are born to eternal life"
