Talent

Millie, a Very Dear Friend is a Master Knitter. She probably wouldn’t claim that title but she doesn’t have to; I bestow it upon her. She’s so talented in many ways and this amulet is another example.

Millie made this beaded amulet and it’s in a favorite color, purple, with a thistle button. I simply cannot imagine how long it took her, patiently putting beads on a beading needle, following the instructions and finishing with this beautiful piece! She’s one of those people who use their time to Make Things and doesn’t have a blog. When I see what Millie’s been up to lately, I question whether or not I should keep up my blog…but I enjoy my blog so will stay the course. I’ll blog about Millie though and sing her praises; she’s not going to. -smile-

THANK YOU MILLIE! You know how I adore hand made things and especially when it comes from someone I love so much.

Blessings ~ Millie ~ beads ~ amulets ~ purple ~ thistles ~ friendship ~

Hi Jules – thank you seems so little to say for your kind words but, truly, Thank You.

Hi Kathleen – you’re so right…just never stopped to consider that blogging is another way to express myself. Thanks!

What a beautiful piece of art! Your friend is very talented and obviously thinks highly of you too.

On a selfish note, I would very much miss your blog. I do understand though, this time of year is when we are outside the most!

Hi Leslie, you and Millie are both talented!

Hi Kathy, warmer months are more difficult for blogging…gardens, bees, etc. all require so much more time. Like you, I don’t watch much t.v. and I do enjoy reading. Dave bought me an MP3 player and now I can download books from the library and listen to them while I’m working in the house or studio. That’s helpful -smile-.

Hi bookwoman, what a GREAT name and thanks for visting and for your kind words…all appreciated. Please come back soon.

Yes, Millie does beautiful work and has a wonderful friend to sing her praises. She probably thinks nothing of doing such beautiful work.
    And stay the blog, please!

On that note though, I have been contemplating blogging a little less because I have so much I want to do. The blogging really only cuts into time I used to watch late night T.V. or read…but reading is a good thing too!
